This model depicts Sapper Forsyth(Driver)and troop commander of 25 field squadron Royal Enginners, lost somewhere in the then "West Germany" during a NATO exercise in the latter part of the "cold war".

The vehichle is the Spartan varient of the british army's CVRT (Combat Vehichle Reconnecance Tracked). The vehichle was used to carry out RECCE tasks such as measuring bridges for demolition parties, setting out minefiels, finding potential secret locations to hide troop sized engineer units in wooded areas around Germany.

The 1:35th scale model is from Accurate Armour and is constructed, painted and weathered by the former Sapper Forsyth himself using a whole range of vallejo, MIG and Eduard products.

*Note: one of the team having to navigate using the map and German signposting. this project also used wired in red LED's to simulate the CVRT's inner light systems (Battery compartment and swith are hidden within the base)
